I know there are video mash notes to both Barack Obama and Rudy Guiliani but the video love song I find most intriguing is the catchy Hott for Hill – even though I am anything but a Hillary Clinton fan or supporter.

Hott for Hill points out something often overlooked in discussions of the former First Lady and possible future President: this blonde, regular-featured woman is extremely pretty. Although she has a bit of cellulite, she also has a fine figure.

Taryn Southern in Hott for Hill, sings, “I like your hair, the pantsuits you wear, and the shape of your derriere.” Taryn is none-too-credible about the matter in the middle, as Hillary’s pantsuits are not especially sensuous and do not do much to accent “the shape of [her] derriere.” But she is quite believable in finding Hillary’s top and rear pleasing.

The video itself is a bit morally problematic as it depicts the lively and lovely Taryn as an elementary schoolteacher who is blithely informing impressionable young minds about her own romantic yearnings.

“Hott for Hill” is astutely cute when Taryn suggests, “I could be your maid, your White House aide, or the soldier who marches in your first parade.” We see the singer in the classic French maid’s uniform of black trimmed in white lace; in a form-fitting dress-for-success suit; and finally in a comically skimpy take-off on a military uniform.

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter has speculated that “Hott for Hill” was put together by anti-Hillary forces to make her look like a lesbian or at least like she’s attracting lesbians. However, the simple sexual fact of the matter is that someone who is attractive is likely to be found attractive by members of both sexes.

Some may find it ironic that the “hot chick” Taryn woos in the video is also a betrayed wife but the truth is that the attractiveness of a woman or a man is in no way a block and perhaps not even a deterrent to a primary partner’s infidelity. Neither men nor women are monogamous by nature and both enjoy sexual variety. Of course, it is also true that there is probably a biologically based tendency for human males to be primarily attracted to women of reproductive age which is why a smooth-skinned Monica Lewinsky could easily catch the eye of a Bill Clinton and turn his head from a good-looking but older wife.

“Let’s seal the deal with a hug and a kiss,” Taryn sings. She may well mean it all in good fun but I’m sure there are plenty of people out there of both genders who would be most gratified if they could snuggle up with Hillary.
